Your activity. Your milestones.

Classic Badges rebuilds the badge shelf, the monthly sleep animal and a calm dashboard from the data your Google Health app (formerly the Fitbit app) already saves to Android Health Connect. No account. No AI. Nothing leaves your phone.

Included in the free launch

Private by design

Version 1 of this app does not have the Internet permission. Not "we promise not to use it" — Android will not let it open a network connection at all. Everything is computed on your phone and stays there. You can export it or delete it whenever you like.

There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics SDK, no ads, and no AI feature of any kind.

Understand your badge history. Classic Badges uses its own rules to calculate milestones from available activity and any totals you enter. These results do not verify your complete original Fitbit award history. Saved badge records can be preserved if your existing export contains them. Missing or deleted records cannot be recovered.

New milestones update as activity becomes available and syncs. Missing, delayed or corrected source data can change results. Records stay on this phone until you delete app data or uninstall. Use More → Export my data to keep a backup.

How it works

  1. Your tracker syncs with its companion app, such as Google Health.
  2. With your permission, a compatible companion app writes supported data to Android Health Connect.
  3. Classic Badges reads the records you allow and calculates milestones using its own rules.

Classic Badges never talks to your tracker and never talks to Google's servers. Keep your tracker’s companion app installed and sharing with Health Connect.

Free at launch

All features are included in the initial release: the dashboard, full badge shelf, history import, sleep animal and all four widgets. No paid trial, subscription or automatic charge.

We may consider pricing later if the app gains sustained use. No future price or date has been set. Any future paid offer will explain its terms and require you to choose to purchase.

Requirements

Android 9 or later with Google Play services, Health Connect, and a source of supported health records. Available measurements depend on your device, source app and sharing permissions.

No wearable? Supported Android 14+ phones can supply steps directly through Health Connect. Phone steps alone do not supply sleep stages, heart rate or all the other measurements shown in the app.

For Fitbit data, enable sharing in Google Health → Connections → Partner apps. Google Health is not required when another compatible source supplies your data.

Can I use older history?

Classic Badges can request access to records older than 30 days where Health Connect supports it. This grants access to existing records; it does not download missing history from Google or recover deleted badges. A supported saved export can add activity and badge records that it still contains.
